We Now Interrupt Your Draft FOAR Chelsea’s Last (Small) Chance To Lose…

That’s right, fuckers.  2/3 of CNBC/NBCSN’s Sunday triple-header are where it’s at this week.  Everton and Romelu Lukaku will seek to avenge a dreadful trip to Stanford Bridge when they host the League leaders (9:05, CNBC).  A draw can always happen, so a Toffee result opens the door for some late drama, though Spurs getting through their gauntlet unscathed is quite unlikely.

Speaking of which, they host rejuvenated Arsenal (11:30, NBCSN) immediately afterwards.  Knowing whether Everton have done them a favour or not.  White Hart Lane will ever be hopping or depressed as fuck.  Sunday Funday should be worth your time this week.

Saturday?  Eh…not so much.  The 10:00 window features Hull, of relegation scrap infamy, invading Southampton (NBCSN).  Leicester at West Brom is the only other watchable option, really (CNBC or Extra Time, unclear).

Palace and Burnley at 12:30 (NBC)?  PASS.  Watch the fookin’ Draft.

Oh yeah, the early Sunday match has Swans (also in the shit for relegation) at Old Trafford, so if you’re up, tune in (7:00, CNBC).

Apologies for the shit preview.  I’m still mad as a hornet about the Bolles pick.

Around 3pm, I discovered a Turkish coworker was still in my house, sleeping off the previous night.

I wonder if other people ever have these scenarios in their lives…

My hope for an all-Canadian Stanley Cup Final moves just that little bit closer.

I will grade it in five years when we actually have data for the long game.

The little Denver radio leach bitches we giving Gronk status to Jake Butt. I think if he heals up he can be good down the road, but jesus; pump the brakes fuckers.

That’s a damn good wrasslin’ hoss.

Unsurprised

I don’t know how good Trubs will be, but he’s backing up/being mentored by Mike Glennon and Mark Sanchez. That is just fucked up, for him and for the Bears.

In another proud moment for Cincinnati Sports, the topic of “Men Punching Women RE: Acceptance of” is being thoroughly discussed on sports radio. In spite of SW Ohio being full fledged “Trump Country USA”, it was more open minded than I would’ve thought. Some conclusions:

– Most women said Mixon was defending himself and the woman provoked him.
– Most men go by the time honored teaching of never hit a woman ever.
– If woman had a weapon, then Mixon would be justified to knock her the f— out.
– Mixon was right to defend himself, but he would’ve backed away, or tried to restrain her, rather than knocking her the f— out.
– Apparently there is something called “football strength” that makes football players stronger than us mere mortals. So maybe Mixon hit with 20% power, but the lady’s cheek toothpick-like bones just couldn’t handle the megaton amount of force.

General consensus if to give him a chance but first mess up, put him on the next barge heading down river.

This made me laugh.
I’m a bad person.

...

Don’t assume I’m right here, but I swear I remember the story was she called him the one word you never ever call a black person which is what initially provoked him.

I have no other deep thoughts on this except to say both people here aren’t particularly great but only one committed a crime.

Rangers score 4? WOW.

It’s even funnier because of the two that DID play at the FBS level, one of them was Mitchell Trubisky.

Rikki-Tikki-Deadly

And five draft picks is all that they have this year.

...

One Cubs-focused message board I went to started a 2016 Bears thread at the beginning of the season and I got *zero* replies during the season. It’s amazing how many people have checked out when it comes to the Bears.

Rikki-Tikki-Deadly

Including Bears management, apparently.

Ironically, John Fox may never leave.

...

*protracted sigh*

If it’s related to the Bears, I would think “prolapsed” might be a better adjective.

I have managed to not follow a single fucking thing in regards to the NFL draft.

It was my birthday yesterday. Pretty much as soon as I got the customers out the door from training, I got cornered by some of my coworkers.

The Easterner European part of the office took me out on the town…and I just now have sobered up.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Rikki-Tikki-Deadly

Technically your birthday party isn’t over until you’re sober. So I guess that means it’s over.

I am fascinated by all Jake Butt stories, and I especially love this one:

I am missing the nicest day of the year by being at work.

When in doubt, draft for depth on the defensive line. So say the Giants brain trust.

/I don’t have a problem with this

BrettFavresColonoscopy

I know I’m late to the game, but as a Bears fan, what/where the fuck is Kutztown University?

scotchnaut

/went to a medical appointment yesterday, knew that I would be there for a while so I brought a book

Doc: What’s that book you’re reading?

Me: [shows him the cover of “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay”]

Doc: What’s it about?

Me: It’s… It’s… really hard to sum it up in a few sentences..

Doc: ….

Me: A couple of jewish guys write a comic book in the 1930’s but there’s a lot of real historical events in there.

Doc: Huh

Me: [walks out to the parking lot, thinks that he should have said, “It’s a great book-I’ll give it to you when I’m done]
