Given the avalanche of #kontent yesterday, I held DFO Radio for today.  Let’s just say it got lost along the way.

Curiously, Mitchell Trubisky kind of blew a hole in his own kharacter by looking rather competent in his debut.  Apparently he has yet to realize what team he’s playing for.  One of the interesting aspects of preseason is how bad good players can look (see: Tom Brady) and how good bad players can look (see: various random scrubs playing against other random scrubs). Every year I have to remind myself that issues that show up in glaring fashion during preseason aren’t necessarily a reflection of what’s going to happen in the regular season.  Case in point: with the interior pressure the Raiders defensive showed, you wouldn’t have expected the Cardinals to move up the field so casually.  Put Bruce Irvin and Khalil Mack on the edges, though, and you’ve got a different story.  I guess part of it is adjusting to having competent coaches who are using preseason to identify and fix potential issues.

This week’s Request of the Week goes to Low Commander, who knows exactly which buttons to push (and also I owe him money).  Cuntler had a pair of great requests in “Maps” and “Trucker’s Atlas”, as did TWBS with “Somewhere Only We Know” and King Hippo with a song I’d never heard before in “At Home”.
