We did it. Again. Another five weekdays dead and gone. TO THE INTOXICANTS! I’ll be in my cups soon, I promise you.

Games-wise we have ourselves a thin slate. As mentioned yesterday, the NHL is a no-show. The NBA offerings remind me of a certain Tar Heel graduate. Vince Carter could have been an All-Everything, Top 25 Of All-Time type player but he turned out to be a gutless piece of crap with no ambition that didn’t seriously work on his game during his career. Watch clips of his first two years with the Raptors. This was a time just before he became completely full of himself but the signs are there. Sidetracked! Okay, how is he like the NBA? So. Much. Potential. Such. Poor. Execution. The league in question-knowing that it has no competition from the NHL and college ball-deigns to give us the Cavs and an uninspiring Hou/OKC match up. The college ball has VCU/Davidson, Manhattan/Iona and Kent State/Ohio. I check these games out because I’m a tad pathetic but also to see if one of these teams might be capable of pulling an upset or two. I look for a senior-laden team, a point guard that can score and doesn’t turn the ball over, an up and coming coach or a squad that has committed fully to D. Perhaps I should exchange “tad” for “completely”. HAVE AT IT, GUARDIANS OF DFO!
