Request Line: It’s the American Way

So the 4th of July is just around the corner, and of course it seemed appropriate that the theme for this week’s Request Line would be “America”.  And there’s certainly a plethora of music out there that loudly sings the praises of the Red, White, and Blue.  But despite all the American exceptionalism we’ve been fed throughout our lives, many of us have decided that the United States isn’t quite as exceptional as we’ve been told.  And these days, instead of being recognized by our fellow world citizens as “heroic” and “virtuous”, Americans have become more closely associated with the concept of “doing a half-assed job”.  With that in mind, I thought that
