Request Line: Holidays

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Holidays vary throughout the world, but there’s one thing about them that’s supposed to be universal: you take a day, and you spend that day doing things REALLY half-assed.  Take this post, for example.  Normally, I’d write up a little story about the adventures of the PRODUCER and CONNOR, THE INTERN and maybe even DJ 3000 and whichever NFL personality happens to be the special guest host for the week.  Instead, I’m using the holiday (and the hard work I did on my The Bearistocrats! post) as an excuse to do a really half-assed job with Request Line this week.  The theme, of course, is “Holidays”.  Let’s throw “Vacations” in there as well, in tribute to Thee Wee Baby Seamus, who is making one of his occasional pilgrimages to the West Coast as we speak. I’ll get us started with a song that combines both of these themes about as well as you’re going to find.

A special note for surfers: dawn patrol tomorrow morning will be one the least crowded sessions of the year.  Everyone is too hungover to get up early.  Enjoy!
