What a Sunday that was.
The $3 late afternoon only (4 o’clock games) Playaction contest only had about 60,000 entries yesterday, so with 6 games in the 4 o’clock window, I opted to give that a couple whirls and I was flirting with a heavy pay day for awhile there. In any event, the best I did was in the afternoon only slate, but for the purposes of review, I have included my best lineups for both below.
All Day:
My Best (186.30)
Cousins Singletary P Taylor Jefferson Diggs Green Higbee Conner Dolphins
|
Winner (212.70)
Cousins Penny Singletary Jefferson Lazard St. Brown Higbee Ertz Dolphins |
4 o’clock only:
My Best (191.34)
Brady Conner Singletary Evans Moore Swain Gronk Higbee Saints |
Winner (214.24)
Brady Conner Harris Evans Lockett Gage Henry Higbee Dolphins |
I cashed again making this my 4th week cashing in gpp out of the last 5. I will certainly take that to close out the regular season.
Making 50+ lineups is really working out, I plan to keep it going into the playoffs.
I was really close to making a couple lineups with Davis Mills at QB. He ended up being the highest scoring QB on Sunday. I’m not sure it would have made a difference though as I would have paired him in every lineup with Brandin Cooks. No one saw Danny Lazarus Amendola’s day coming.
He was the highest scoring player on the day.
I only used Gage a little bit as a run back in my Taysom Hill lineups. Since Hill left the game with an injury, those lineups were all dead.
I should have considered Darnell Mooney against a bad Vikings secondary. That’s a complete whiff on my part.
I didn’t have much Rashaad Penny…I have regrets.
I did end up using Juan Jennings in a few of my late afternoon only lineups, but he was never really in consideration for the all day slate. He was 2% owned in the late afternoon and .2% owned in the all day.
I guess I should have considered Tannehill, my bad. Had I done that though, I would have paired him with someone and no 1 receiver really went off, and I probably would have ran it back with Cooks who was apparently the wrong ex Patriot receiver to have.
That’s kind of it in terms of the overt mistakes I made. I’m really liking the process I have established over the last few weeks. Too bad the regular season is at an end, but at the same time, I’m looking forward to having to dig through less information. I’m not sure I will be returning to building cash lineups for the next season as I have definitely caught the gpp itch.
Playoffs start next week!
I’m interested to see the kinds of contests and slates Draftkings puts together considering the NFL Wild Card Weekend schedule. At the moment there’s a 2-game Saturday slate and a 6-game Saturday – Monday slate. I’m not quite sure how I’m going to approach it, but know that my Saturday article will have information for all 6 games; also know that you will only have a couple hours to utilize it for the 6-gamer.
Great job this season! I’ll glad it’s paying off financially.
It’s good to see that Andrew Luck hasn’t pissed away his fortune on clothes.
Still trying to figure out a good method for putting together single-game captain showdown lineups, but I feel like I’m getting close.
I have a process for that I can share….was planning on doing it for it one of the upcoming playoff weekends.
One major rule I have is to leave salary on the table as it makes your lineup more unique.
I made $300 off of 4 contests yesterday. Best haul of the season so far, even with a dud out of Heinicke. Thanks for these articles bro! Huge help!
Nice!
Cashed 4 out of the last 5 weeks in gpp… he’s on a heater!
Lol way to sneak a jumanji gif in!
Jumanji is one of those movies that if I run into it flipping channels, I have to watch the rest of it. And I’m always glad I did.
Disappointed in Kyler et al. I thought that stack was going to be the one.
