Bayou Tiggers have a chip and a chair for the Playoffs with a win.  I guess we will see how much pride Jimbo’s Bonefire Cult got.  I’d guess “not much” but I am wrong an awful lot.

Notre Dame (+5.5) at Southern Cal (7:30, ABC)

Here’s the biggie.  Surely, Troi Boiz complete lack of defensing ability will bite them in the arse?  Maybe tonight, Domers are vastly improved in the back half of the season.

Tennessee (-14) at Vanderbilt (7:30, SECN)

No shit – Vandy is on a heater.  If they can beat their deflated, backup QB-starting in-state rivals, they get a December exhibition.  I am THIS close to predicting same.

Kansas (+11.5) at Kansas State (8:00, Fox)

Unded Bill Snyders looking for a berth in the Big Twaaaalve title game, and revenge against the Bloodeyes.  Does the KU rivalry even have a nickname?  If so, Hippo ain’t know it.

Washington (+2) at Washington State (10:30, ESPN)

The Apple Cup makes a fine finale for our beloved Tweaker Fixture.  Sometimes, it will snow in Pullman for these.  Wouldn’t a night snow game be badass?

Here’s a row of seven deluxe motor coaches lined up at the private aviation terminal for the Norte Dame team. I talked to some of the drivers and team reps (nice guys; they were more interested in the cameras on my roof) and they said they have their own chartered 767 and they fill it up too. I’ve seen the NFL teams come here and they usually use 3 – 4 buses. While I typed this they all left to go get the team at USC.

It’s busy because of the holiday normally Saturday night is gloriously dead, the way I like it.

ALSO: Construction of the new light rail station absolutely destroyed the view from the rooftop of parking structure 1. That was one of my secret spots. Those fuckers.

Just got back from a night out with Mrs. Cornblower. We rented a nearby hotel room because both our kids are back in the house and they’re both Grade A cockblockers.

Very fun night, although the hotel is no pets, so we had to leave the dwarf at home.
