INT. RECORDING STUDIO – DAY

Once again, all the lights are…wait, it turns out the lights are actually on this week.  DJ 3000′ is up and running…

…as he converses with Hunter Renfrow, who is awake and alert.

DJ 3000′: …SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT. THEY ARE DELAYING THE PROM UNTIL AFTER GRADUATION?

HUNTER RENFROW: Yeah, but it’s not the prom committee’s fault.  How could they have known that I.C.E. was going to commandeer the auditorium for use as an immigration detention center? But it does give them a little more time to figure out how to apply the Anti-Woke guidelines.

DJ 3000′: AND IT GIVES YOU A LITTLE EXTRA TIME TO PUT TOGETHER YOUR PROM-POSAL.

HUNTER RENFROW: [puts head in hands] You know, this was a lot simpler when asking Angie Martinez wasn’t even an option.

DJ 3000′: YEAH THAT’S CRAZY THAT JUST TWO DAYS PRIOR TO THE CLASS TRIP TO LONDON SHE FOUND OUT THAT HER COLLEGE-AGED BOYFRIEND WAS WORKING AS A SCENE PARTNER FOR A CLASSMATE’S ONLYFANS PAGE AND DUMPED HIS SORRY ASS.

HUNTER RENFROW: Speaking of “sorry”, I heard that he hasn’t even apologized yet because he’s still insisting that “Désirée Jakarta” doesn’t even exist and that it was all A.I.-generated.

DJ 3000′: HA HA HA GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. EVEN IF IT WAS I’M SURE WHOEVER DID IT KNOWS A THING OR TWO ABOUT COVERING UP THEIR ELECTRONIC TRACKS.

HUNTER RENFROW: I hope Angie doesn’t feel like I was taking advantage of her in London because she was feeling vulnerable.

DJ 3000′: I WOULDN’T SWEAT IT. THE BIGGER QUESTION IS WHICH OF THE LUCKY LADIES IN YOUR LIFE YOU’RE PLANNING TO ASK TO PROM.

HUNTER RENFROW: I really don’t know.  I mean…Angie Martinez is Angie Martinez.  But after Rachel Dunbarton went all-out with Sadie Hawkins it doesn’t feel right not to ask her. It’s what I was planning to do originally.

DJ 3000′: WELL HOW ABOUT THIS: WHICH ONE OF THEM WAS A BETTER KISSER?

HUNTER RENFROW: [taken aback] Are you serious? I thought you told me not to talk to anyone about that.

DJ 3000′: I TOLD YOU NOT TO TALK TO YOUR CLASSMATES ABOUT THAT.  BUT YOU HAVE SERVER-CLIENT ENCRYPTION PRIVILEGES WITH ME, SO YOU CAN DISH ALL YOU LIKE. SOMETIMES IT’S GOOD TO GET THESE THINGS OFF YOUR CHEST.

HUNTER RENFROW: [smiles bashfully] Well…okay.  I bet you think I’m going to say that Angie was a cold fish and Rachel Dunbarton was all kinds of wild…

DJ 3000′: PROBABILITY ANALYSIS OF VISUAL MEDIA REGARDING TEENAGE RELATIONS SUGGESTS A FAMILIAR TWIST WOULD BE EMPLOYED, YES.

HUNTER RENFROW: …but honestly, it was Angie Martinez by a mile.

DJ 3000′: REALLY?

HUNTER RENFROW: Yeah.  Rachel was, like, too eager.  And when I was making out with Angie it started slower, and just built up until we were both really into it…and then she, um…did stuff.  With her nails.  On my back.  Not enough to leave marks or anything, just…I can’t even describe it. It was, uh, pretty great.

HUNTER RENFROW gets a faraway look in his eyes.

DJ 3000′: ALL RIGHT, ALL RIGHT, BEFORE YOU START DAYDREAMING WE SHOULD GET REQUEST LINE ROLLING.  TOPIC?

HUNTER RENFROW: [dreamily] Kissing…

DJ 3000′: YEAH, THAT SHOULD BE A PIECE OF CAKE. SONGS ABOUT KISSING. GOT ONE TO GET US STARTED WITH?

HUNTER RENFROW: [is lost in reverie, says nothing]
