The USC Trojans proved they are masters of the Coliseum domain by playing the best out of the four teams that played there this weekend in beating previously 4-1 Colorado by a score of 21-17.
WHAT?

FINE! I’ll talk about the Rams!
The Rams lost to the visiting Buffalo Bills 30-19 in a game that was sort of close until the second half when Rams mistakes and the healing power of tens of thousands of naked Southern California little piggies in flip flops powered Rex Ryan’s team to victory.

This leaves the Rams closer to their permanent home of .500 with a 3-2 mark and a date at the Detroit Lions coming up next week. Can you smell the 50-50 bars from here?

Here are my key takeaways from this game:
This needs to become a meme like Bradying:
The groundskeepers did a pretty crappy job of painting the Rams/NFL logos and numbers on top of the turf. You could totally see the USC colors, college numbers, and PAC 12 symbols all over the field. The picture below doesn’t do it justice as to how it looked on TV:

The number of tickets distributed was over $83K, which is lower than previous games. Watch for this trend to continue as the Rams seek their level.
As far as my buddies that have season tickets, let’s check in with how they did. Please keep in mind that, ahead of the weekend, I had found out that they would only attend the game if they found no one to buy them:
Buddy #1:
Sold his tickets for face value. When asked why, he replied, “It was too hot this weekend!” Mind you, it was 90 yesterday in LA. He now says he is only looking forward to the Atlanta game as the game he will attend. I gotta say, that’s pretty sad when all you have to look forward to is a Falcons game.
Buddy #2:
Out of the pool of 6 tickets, they could only sell 3, so my buddy ended up attending the game. Weirdly, his seats got shade in the first half and none in the second. This was due to the location of the seats in relation to the announcers’ booth/press box. You can kinda see that effect in the picture above. As always, we can blame CBS for hurting the nation.
He reported that it was a much better experience than last time as it seems that the Rams have started to get their act together. On the negative side, it seems that people have figured out Yeah Right’s trick of taking the train to the stadium. Getting there was no problem, but the lines getting out were extremely long. All in all, though, he was happy with the experience. Again, though, he is a Rams fan, so….
So, there you have it! Rams excitement: Can you feel it?!?

Well, at least you got that going for you, which is nice.
BTW, my Steelers were the national CBS game, so I, once again, did not need Sunday Ticket. To top it off, we beat the Jets and Washington beat the Ravens, so everything is coming up Millhouse this morning!

Until next time.
