Wendell Carter Jr.’s mom has beef with Coach K after Marvin Bagley came to Duke early (CBSSports.com)
“My initial reaction, I was pissed,” Kylia Carter, Wendell’s mom, told NBC Sports. “And it wasn’t pissed because Marvin was coming. To be honest, I felt like that was information that was kept from us. It felt (shady), it felt like my baby was gonna get kicked to the curb. I felt like all of that.”
And she plans to let Coach K know she isn’t happy about what happened.
“We have not had our conversation but we will. We almost went there with him when we did our exit interview,” Kylia Carter said. “But he’ll come around to a Bulls game and I’ll get the chance.”
OK, first and foremost, I don’t like Ratface either. For many reasons.
But here’s the thing, Mrs. Carter…
When your kid signs to play at a basketball factory like Duke, a decision which he (and you too, probably) only made to better his NBA resume, and thus his (and yours too, probably) financial future…? And then ANOTHER kid decides to do the same thing? Well, that’s what you get. Sorry, truth hurts sometimes.
And still…guess what??????
Your kid did his job at Duke. Proved he was coachable. And just got drafted #7 to the Chicago Bulls and is now set for life (and you too, probably). Or at least could be. If you don’t mess it up for him.
So take my advice, shut your piehole, and don’t mess it up for him.
Right or wrong, you sound like a whiny imbecile right now. So put your “baby’s” well-being before your own and just STFU already and let the kid ease into NBA life without these stupid distractions.
It’ll be in his (and yours too, probably) best long term interests.
