INT. RECORDING STUDIO – DAY
The PRODUCER sits at his console looking incredibly vexed.
PRODUCER: I can’t believe he didn’t show up.
DJ 3000: Maybe he’s sick.
PRODUCER: In the middle of the summer? Come on.
DJ 3000: Perhaps…
PRODUCER: You and I both know it’s because he’s too hungover to get his ass in gear.
DJ 3000: [a few lights blink in grudging agreement]
PRODUCER: It’s not that I’m unsympathetic, it’s pretty standard for a holiday in the middle of the week. I just wish he would have called. Or texted, even.
DJ 3000: It’s about time to start, do you want me to handle things?
PRODUCER: Nah, I got it. [punches button] Good morning and welcome to Request Line! Our special guest for today wasn’t able to make it, so we’ll get straight to the music. I’ll get us rolling with a couple of examples.
