[looks up from the wreckage of his 401k]
Greetings, and welcome to the unofficial quarantine zone. We’ve got plenty of lettuce and oranges and rainwater. More importantly, we’ve got POWER – not a lot of it, but enough to charge up this iPhone and get some music pumping to distract you from your troubles for a few minutes.
Let’s start with the Request Line from two weeks ago: Shapes.  I feel like we left a lot on the table with this one, but it’s still a pretty good selection. Here’s the Spotify link.
Next up is “Pass It On”, a little game we played to pass the time last week. The playlist was randomized, so the game won’t be clear, but the point was basically to post songs with numbers in the title that were either +1, -1, x2, or 1/2 from the previous song. It went a lot better than I expected it to! I thought it was a lot of fun, and I hope the rest of you did too. Enjoy! Or enjoy on Spotify!
It’s still raining pretty hard, and will remain so for much of the next ten days. I cannot think of a time when it has ever been worse to be homeless in Los Angeles.
At least Scotchy isn’t visiting… Yet.
One Shining Moment will be accompanied this year by animations of the US Covid infection rates soaring high, the stock market plummeting to hell, and talking heads of all stripes telling us how it’s not that bad.
Coronavirus: NBA, NHL, MLS suspend seasons, MLB delays start of 2020 campaign
Sooooo, what are you loons gonna gamble on now? At least I have the stock market for entertainment (christ what a shitshow it was today!) … also tanks, ’cause the V12 from the T-72 won’t rebuild itself 😀
(but seriously, stay safe, stay sane and don’t burn through your reserve of stuff on DVR)
Mikel Arteta: Arsenal manager tests positive for coronavirus
… Jesus effin’ Christ, we truly are the lolMets of the EPL this year….
We’re also getting pretty heavy rain here today. Good quarantinin’ weather.
We have thundersnow in Big Bear!
When you said “big bear” I thought you were talking about the stock market.
Or a “sex thing” tbh.
Ha, no! Big Bear Lake, in the San Bernardino mountains of SoCal. Got about 4 inches of snow, and it’s still coming down like a mofo. Good thing I have weed, wine, and toilet paper!
That’s awesome!
I can’t remember if I said this last night or not (I was pretty drunk) but I’ve been practicing social distancing since before it was cool.
