INT. CYBER CAFE SOMEWHERE IN SOUTHEAST ASIA – NIGHT

A shadowy figure sits behind a terminal, tapping absently at the keys.  He perks up.

SHADOWY FIGURE: Well this looks to be interesting…

The shadowy figure reaches into a a tattered rucksack at his feet labeled “5CHAN”.  He pulls out a pair of wireless earbuds and puts them in. He grimaces as we overhear VOICE 1 loudly shout something, though it’s not entirely intelligible.  5CHAN adjusts the volume control on his laptop and the audio feed changes so the voices become clear.

VOICE 2: It’s me.

VOICE 1: Ah.  You have news for me.

VOICE 2: I do – Phase 1 is now complete.

VOICE 1: Excellent.  So the game has definitely been moved to Monday?

VOICE 2: Yes.  And two more have been moved to Tuesday.

VOICE 1: [audibly pleased] Superb.

VOICE 2: You were right, the fans have been absolutely livid.

VOICE 1: Yes, that was inevitable, no matter which decision they made.  I’m pleased that they are headed down my preferred path, though.  It will make things simpler moving forward.

VOICE 2: They seem to believe that if they can make it through this week, this will all blow over.

VOICE 1: Yes, isn’t it pretty to think so?

VOICE 2: [a pause] Hemingway?

VOICE 1: Indeed.  I’m very pleased with the results you’ve delivered here.  You’ve gone above and beyond. I won’t forget that.

VOICE 2: Thank you.  I’ll await further instructions.

VOICE 1: Good day, Ms. Rice.

VOICE 2: Good day, Mr. Davis.
