INT. RECORDING STUDIO – DAY

Once again, all the lights are once again burning brightly.  Though, as usual, it remains completely silent.  DJ 3000′ boots up…

…to see HUNTER RENFROW once again sitting on the couch.  This time, however, instead of a textbook, Hunter is holding a video game controller.

HUNTER RENFROW: [glancing up from where he is playing Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree on a Playstation that is set up on one of the office monitors] Hey.

DJ 3000′: I SEE YOU HAVE SETTLED INTO SUMMER QUITE NICELY.

HUNTER RENFROW: Yeah, just trying to unwind a bit from finals week.

DJ 3000′: THAT ENDED OVER A WEEK AGO.

HUNTER RENFROW: Yeah, well, you know…

— [computer monitor on an adjacent desk flies open] —

GHOST OF JIM IRSAY: Can we please play Rockstar Hero now?

DJ 3000′: YOU MEAN GUITAR HERO?

HUNTER RENFROW: [not looking up from his game] I keep telling him that’s what it’s called, but he can’t seem to retain it.  He’s like Dixie Flatline in Neuromancer – one of those ROM constructs.

GHOST OF JIM IRSAY: Yeah, that thing. Guitar Star.

HUNTER RENFROW: I don’t understand why you even want to play, it’s not like you can affect the physical world. And you definitely don’t want to hear me play, I can barely get past the Beginner levels.

DJ 3000′: JIM IF YOU WANT I CAN JUST PLAY SOME REGULAR MUSIC.

GHOST OF JIM IRSAY: [mollified or maybe tranquilized it’s genuinely hard to tell] I guess that’d be okay.  What have you got?

DJ 3000′: WELL, IT’S TIME FOR REQUEST LINE.  AND SINCE HUNTER CAN’T BE BOTHERED TO THINK UP A TOPIC…

HUNTER RENFROW: [glances up from his game irritably]

DJ 3000′: …IT’S TIME TO GO AHEAD WITH ANOTHER NFL DIVISION.

GHOST OF JIM IRSAY: Which would be?

DJ 3000′: THE GREAT WHITE NFC NORTH.

GHOST OF JIM IRSAY: Okay, so we’ve got the Detroit Lions, the Chicago Bears, the Green Bay Packers, and…maybe you can get us started with a little tribute to the Minnesota Vikings?
