I’m out helping my friend with deliveries at his Greek restaurant. It’s 5 hours and usually about $100 cash & a free meal. I ain’t allergic to cash-money, and there’s always stories:

• on Wednesday, I delivered to a they-said-legal-but-it’s-not-yet marijuana dispensary & grow-op. Based on them pleading with me that it was legal, they knew that I knew they were jumping the gun on Trudeau’s impending legalization.
  • I told them I’d been to enough concerts in the 80s, so as long as they paid me in cash and not bud there wasn’t a problem.
• a couple of weeks back, I made a 10:30 delivery to a local motel.
  • Based on her tattoos, she was a one-night hire. I’d give her a 6; given his appearance, she probably figured dinner was extra money.
  • At least she put on a t-shirt to come to the door. It took him longer to find his clothes.
  • Fortunately, I got a cash tip.

So, tonight’s possible thread theme: Delivery jobs, or jobs that turned interesting at times. I look forward to catching up on the thread & seeing what direction the Commentists took when I get home.
