NFL Notes:

• And it begins: Cowboys vice president of player personnel Will McClay gave his opinion on why the Cowboys released Dez Bryant, which will definitely never come back to haunt him:
  • “The (inability) to win one-on-one, to win downfield. There was inconsistency as well as some huge things in his play.”
    • “It’s a production-based business.”
  • Also a factor: he counted as $16 million against the cap for 2018 if he stayed on the roster.
    • Cutting him saved $12.5 million – his contract was pro-rated from the March bonus period.
    • Hauling water for someone, Adam Schefter ‘reports’ that many teams won’t even sign Dez for the League minimum.

• Dreamboat says Gisele has given him permission to play for at least two more years.
  • He laments not being enough of a stay-at-home dad, which he could actually fucking be at any time if he just hung up the cleats.

• Believing collusion is at hand, Eric Reid has initiated his own collusion case against the NFL.
  • He believes, like Colin Kaepernick, that owners are conspiring to prevent him from obtaining employment due to his political beliefs.
    • He has also contracted Kaep’s lawyer, Mark Geragos.
      • Geragos is most famous for representing Michael Jackson & Scott Peterson, and got Chris Brown probation for smacking Karrueche Tran.
        • He seems like one of those LA legal media whores.

• The League is working on changes to the ejection language for targeted hits.
  • They are looking to add a replay review, but the owners have to approve it.
  • Examples used to highlight the rule change from the 2017 season are these plays from 2017:
    • Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan‘s on Packers receiver Davante Adams, and
    • Bengals safety George Iloka‘s hit on Steelers receiver Antonio Brown.
