Hey.
Welp. That’s it for Jaguras fitbawl this season.

Obligatory
Let’s see what I predicted their record would be:
2025 Pre-Season Prediction
8-9. Second in the AFC South. 2 chances to snag a Wildcard berth; Slim and None, and Slim just left town.
2025 Mid-Season Prediction
9-8. Still 2nd in the AFC South and no playoffs.
What Actually Happened
Jacksonville ended the season 13-4, AFC South Division winners and hosted the Buffalo Bills in a playoff game down in Duval. We’re still waiting on the recount before declaring a victor (that’s how it works in today’s ‘Merica, right?)

Facts and Opinions
Notable wins over The Chefs in Week 5 (31-28), Donks WOO! in Week 16 (34-20) and an eight game win streak were the high points.
Getting the doors blown off by RAMMIT in Week 7 (7-35) and losing the playoff matchup (24-27) were the low points.
A big difference this season was the Jaguars won more close games than they lost, a reversal from the 2024 campaign. Were some of those close games close because of lapses in the defensive secondary? Yes. But more often than not, Prison Girlfriend put together late drives that ended in victory and not an all-too-familiar pickerception or turnover on downs.
Having Cam Little’s atomic leg didn’t hurt either, as he made NFL record setting field goals of 67 and 68 yards while going 30/34 for the season.
2023 6th rounder Parker Washington was the leading receiver with 5 TDs and 847 yards.
Travis Etienne led RBs with 7 TDs and 1107 yards.
Trevor Lawrence had a 29/12 TD/INT ratio, ran for another 9 TDs and racked up 4007 passing yards plus 359 rushing yards.
2025 First round (#2 overall) pick Travis Hunter was lost to IR with a knee injury in practice prior to the Week 9 game against Las Vegas.
The WR room is solid with Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr, and the aforementioned Parker Washington. Throw in TE Brenton Strange and Lawrence has an array of targets in the passing game.
Etienne and Bayshul Tuten make for a solid RB duo.
The O-line had moments. Both good and bad. I see this as a potential draft target to protect the investment that is the starting QB.
The defense still needs some work. While they were stout on run defense, the secondary had a frustrating tendency to give up big plays far too frequently that either kept drives alive or were scoring plays. Safety and Corner help should be the priority in the upcoming draft.
If this is the improvement in Year 1 of the Liam Coen era, I am interested in seeing if this carries over into Year 2. Jacksonville has a pattern of regression after an unexpectedly good season. Win the division two years in a row and I’ll be impressed. Make the playoffs and win one (or more!) games and I’ll be in need of a new bandana for my Clubhouse sprints.

In conclusion,

Until Next Time! Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.
