DFO Radio: Literature

Greetings!  Since we had such a surplus of #content yesterday I held off on DFO Radio until this morning.  Last week, Amari Cooper showed us what Mark Twain* meant when he said “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt” and introduced the week’s topic, “Literature”.  The Commentist Party, as usual, came through in fine fashion.

The big news this week in the NFL is confirmation of what many of us Raiders fans have expected all year: the move to Las Vegas will be happening.  I started out (in Connecticut) as a fan of the Los Angeles Raiders, so the news that they’re moving again doesn’t have the same impact for me as it does for many of the local fans who were so thrilled to get the franchise back, and have finally seen them turn the corner back into relevance after what felt like an infinity in the doldrums.  While I’m not convinced that the stadium won’t be overwhelmed by tourists every Sunday (God, can you imagine what the Steelers games are going to be like? Of course, by the time the stadium opens Roethlisberger will have retired and many Steelers fans will have “forgotten” about their “lifelong connection with their fanhood and the city of Pittsburgh”), the locals seem pretty thrilled to have them, and the stadium renderings look absolutely magnificent.

Anyhow, it seems a little ridiculous to be talking about the Raiders on a post that ostensibly about “Literature”, so let’s get to the music.  Here’s the Spotify list.
