INT. RECORDING STUDIO – DAY

A pair of radio professionals are standing outside the recording booth.  CONNOR, THE INTERN is looking inside with concern.  THE PRODUCER is pacing with a cellphone held up to his ear.  Inside sits NFL Quarterback TOM BRADY, smiling placidly and rubbing a red spot on his forehead. 

PRODUCER: [into the phone]…and you’re sure that will work.

DON YEE: Absolutely.

PRODUCER: I mean, he whacked his head on the doorframe really hard.

DON YEE: Well, sometimes that’s the price you pay for being six-foot-five.  It’s not first time it’s happened, and it won’t be the last.

PRODUCER: And, uh, he seems pretty out of it.

DON YEE: Don’t mistake his aloofness for befuddlement.

PRODUCER: I’m worried it might be a concussion.

DON YEE: It’s not a concussion.  Just give him the treatment and he’ll be fine.  I’m telling you, he goes through about a dozen of those every day during the season.

PRODUCER: [shrugs] Show must go on.  Connor, go ahead.

CONNOR, THE INTERN steps inside the booth and hands TOM BRADY a beverage.

TOM BRADY: [taking a sip] …and so getting back to my own personal theory of mind: the question of whether consciousness can truly be explained by doing away with the Cartesian observer without violating one of the central tenets of Dennet’s theory of…

PRODUCER: [taps glass]
