What can one really say after three weeks? I thought we might see a pretty ordinary bunch of Charlatans, and they have pretty much…held serve. A dull home win over the Cowpokes, followed by a road loss inside Megatron’s Butthole (ewwwww), capped by a fairly decent home win against the Striped Pylons (though aided greatly by Beatie Mixon and AJ Green injuries).
Of course, the Black Panthers are themselves missing a few key White Devils, in LT Matt Kalil and TE Greg Olson. Olson might be back quite soon after the bye (to likely reinjure his foot owie and fuck fanasty footballers over even further), but Kalil could be gone most or all of 2018. That would be be bad. It’s not a good OL unit even at 100%.
Other than that, mostly as expected. Cam does what Cam does, and new passing options don’t get integrated into the offense (DJ Moore might as well be on the side of a milk carton, assuming those still exist). Vanilla Reggie Bush scampers about. CJ Anderson is a solid “thunder” component who doesn’t get many TDs because of the “Cam at the goal line” factor. The defense is good enough at forcing turnovers that some cracks get papered over, but most certainly not all.
Do I sound bored? Yeah, the Panthers can be that way. Could use more of a shaking up. At least they signed Eric Reid.
Still on track for 8-8, and home for Kwanzaa!
[…] I just like to mention my strategy because it was stupid, is stupid, and will be stupid post Panthers bye), I will be burning my free Southwest Airlines drink tickets while en route to Oakland for the Week […]

Is it me or are the bye weeks here earlier than usual? I mean, at this rate, you might as well go the CFL Beat route and have a bye week on Week One.
I like early byes, but only if they’d CONSISTENTLY not over-load certain bye weeks so I have so many dudes out (in FF) weeks 9-12.
Remember when that was a thing because there were 31 teams?
Honestly, no.
