My lineups:

I towed the cash line in many contests on Draftkings with 129.9 DK points, which is short of the 2.7x we need. I cashed in some but mostly lost. I cashed on SuperDraft. I never made a Fanduel lineup this week.
Gonna do things a bit differently this Monday:
The Good, the Bad, the Misses, and the Chalk
Indeed, it was a chalky week in DFS. Way more so that I originally anticipated. Here are the ownership numbers:
D’Ernest – 80 – 85%
Ingram – 60%
Evans – 60%
Arnold – 50%
Titans – 30%
I ate all that chalk and it didn’t really hurt. However, there was a piece of chalk that I did not eat, and it ultimately cost me. Dak Prescott was close to 50% owned, and I was surprised. He was the highest scoring QB of the week (on Sunday afternoon’s slate anyway).
After deliberation, I went with Tom Brady as my QB. I watched all of this game and holy friggin fuck, Brady’s teammates owe him several beers. Brady had 2 INTs on the day that were not his fault, and he honestly should have had more but a ball that went through Godwin’s hands, then off his foot, up into the air, and then dropped by a WFT defender, kept that number lower. Evans straight missed a pass that ended up in the waiting arms of a WFTer and some dude whose name I still don’t know “received” a pass out of the backfield and then threw it into the air for an easy turnover. Additionally, it felt like every RB they put in had zero interest in actually securing catches out of the backfield. If I had any worry that Brady wouldn’t succeed here, it would have been because they were up 28 – 0 at halftime and wouldn’t be incentivized to keep throwing. Even if that happened, I believed, and still do, that Brady would keep throwing TDs to get the record. Next week vs the Gmen could be a bloodbath. I simply did not see this game going this way. Additionally, WFT actually looked like they wanted to win and managed the game clock extremely well, especially at the end of the game.
Another big decision I had was Cook vs Taylor. I split the difference between the two sites. What helped in that regard was the early morning announcement that Rhamondre Stevenson was going to play and that he would have the Damien Harris role. He had a delicious multiplier on SD, as did Ingram, so I used that as justification to play guys like Taylor and Adams who had low multipliers. Man do I wish I started Stevenson in my DK cash lineup.
Herbert was a fail. Minnesota did a good job of controlling the ball and limiting the Charger offense.
I was watching the Colts/Jags game with a Colt fan yesterday. Apparently Colts fans DO NOT LIKE WENTZ. But why? He likes throwing passes left handed and in reverse throwing motion. It did end up being a Taylor game, which I was afraid of, so I ultimately did not use Wentz anywhere.
I completely whiffed on Stefon Diggs. Never even considered him. No, I’m not even going to address Matt Breida.
Though he wasn’t a total loss, Jerry Jeudy ultimately did not provide what was necessary, I’m not sure any one player in this offense is featured enough to use in cash.
DK Metcalf and the Seahawks were a friggin joke yesterday. @PeteCarroll how many deep shots to Tyler Lockett are you going to take before you realize it isn’t working?
Metcalf also didn’t look like he wanted to fight for any of the 50/50 balls sent his way. He did, however, want to actually fight at the end of the game and got ejected for his troubles. 1 more catch for 10 or 15 yards would have been a huge difference for me so no big deal DK.
The Browns passing attack was dreadful. I had a lot of the People’s Court in GPPs, and that was not useful to me. I really don’t care though as watching the Pats hand Baker Mayfield his ass was so joyous on a Sunday when I really needed it. And as we know about me and Baker…
DeVonta Smith is making Hurts look better than he is. I had my doubts about Smith succeeding at the NFL level as his frame is not as big as others, but he is proving capable.
AJ Dillon has been eating into Aaron Jones workload and it was clear to see why after Jones left the game with an injury. Can’t predict injuries, but if you had told me AJ Dillon would have been the 3rd highest scoring RB on the day, I would not have been that shocked. That being said, I never play anyone with the hope that the guy ahead of him on the depth chart is going to get hurt.
While it was great to see Bourne get in the endzone (and for Meyers to finally get one too) I did not have the Pats passing attack anywhere on my radar.
I feel like some random defense always goes off each Sunday. Cue both Dallas and Green Bay who were 2.5% and .83% owned yesterday.
Thanks again for reading, I’ll try to be better in Week 11!
Regarding the DAL defense, I started Matt Ryan
One question: does DFS only consider the Sunday day games?
It doesn’t seem like Thursday, SNF, or MNF games are considered.
There are a bunch of slates. The most popular is the Sunday 1 and 4 o’clock slate. There is a Thursday – Monday that has every game. There is a Sunday night – Monday that has just two. A Monday – Thursday that just has two. There are also single slates called Showdowns were you try to make the best fantasy lineup in a single game.
The smaller the amount of games, the less predictable everything becomes. That being said, I enjoy playing Showdown on Thursday and Monday nights and have a set of rules and strategy to try and find the optimal gpp lineup.
I drafted Dillon and ended up trading him when Green Bay wasn’t playing him. It took Jones getting hurt for him to get on the field but isn’t that a problem with the coaching staff?
I mean, he was that good all the time. It’s not like he just “blossomed” or some shit.
TLDR: coaches are stupid.
I drafted Dillon really late so that the Jones owner didn’t have the handcuff. (in our ancient league we’re all rat bastards to each other) I also did it because he was impressive in the preseason and would be fantastic if Jones went down.
/that said, Jones is a very good back and I don’t think the coaches had any real ‘need’ to give Dillon carries
I’m currently tied going into tonight thanks to my opponent starting BOTH GB RBs, so i basically need Deebo and the Rams D to outscore Higbee and OBJ.
I’m boned, aren’t I?
I’ve always found the SEA receivers to be too streaky to trust.
