Evening, evening. Hope you had a fun draft. I paid attention this time around. How did I find it?

For the last month, daily, I had been seeing “TEN will take Jeremiyah Love at #4 and will love it LOVE IT!1!1”. Mm. I could get down with that. Why would I ever be bothered by a stud running back being hella compensated? Then such soothing brainwashings were hosed off by the Cards picking Love at #3. Maybe it was strict stick-it-to TEN.
Last year the Titans went over to Arizona and were behind 21-6 with 13 minutes left in the 4th QRT. Arizona has the ball:
- The ARI RB seems to go on a 72-yard TD, but does a DeSean Jackson: personal-choice fumble just before the goal line, touchback instead of 28-6.
- ARI has an INT in the end zone, but there’s a fumble and the corpse of WR Tyler Lockett fell on it for a TEN TD
- Other stuff, TEN 22 : 21 ARI final.
That was the game when TEN broke its 2025 cherry, climbing to a respectable-in-retrospect 1-4. It was early October, head coach Brian Callahan would be fired soon after. Ahhh memories… Truly, the Titans 2025 season is a top contender for shittiest nostalgia fodder, fighting it out with “the Xmas I didn’t decorate” and “the graduation I had to take the photos”. So yeah, good draft.

♫Aaaah De Shem piensss ni ni nini niiiiii♫ semifinals are this week. Great warmup for work desertion during El Mundial. Paris St. Germain hosts Bayern Munich on Tuesday (ooof, gangbusters promise), and Atleti hosts Aresenal on Wednesday (a celebration of antifútbol, ripe for “ Holds it, holds it…” memery).
FINALLY,
I’ve been thinking a lot about a Boston coach under fire at work with a history of cheating. No, not Alex Cora. Teee heee, Cora will find another job no problem 😝. It’s Vrabel, of course, whose current standing at home, I am guessing, is this:
Via Low Commander
TBh, I feel sympathy for the coach.
If there’s one thing I know about marriage, is that the most frightening thing a wife can say to a husband is: “We need to talk”. And when Vrabel only volunteered that he’d had a lot of difficult conversations, well: ‘nuff said. I really feel your pain.
Everyone knows how it goes. You fucked up hugely and now is the time for shaming, being run through the justice / revenge grinder, and making amends labors-of-Hercules style–all the while dealing with your own guilt.*
* Unless you are only suffering because you had a good thing going and got found out and now it’s over. I wouldn’t worry about you. Clearly you have the superficiality required to be a happy person, untroubled by your own prickhood.
Imagine wanting to go to work each day because it’s a break from the tension at home. It’s not easy being in a marriage that underwent a betrayal, the most heinous act a person can do to another. Wait, that’s an exaggeration. (Let’s see… Murder, rape, sister jokes, betrayal—OK.) Yes, betrayal, legit top 4 most heinous etc. etc.
Traditionally, amends in this situation begin with an extravagant jewel, plus plenty of shutting the fuck up during harangues. But every couple is different, so who knows. And I don’t think that I wanna know much more. We got the idea.
All I know is that if you can’t have peace at home, your life is ass backwards. Peace will never be happiness, but goddammit sometimes you need fucking silence.
