Damn, the wind is whipping off the lake so intensely this evening I expect the Edmund Fitzgerald to float by. Over the course of a 36 hour period all hope of a third consecutive snowless Christmas fell by the wayside. Oh well…
Minutiae:
-It all comes down to this-Mr. Ayo-I like to call him Aoli Joe-are both in it to win it or something. The last playoff spot in Freezer Vodka is in the balance. The bastard gets home field advantage because of the name of the league. Well oiled, Aoli.
-Is He Just That Unlikeable?: Eric Bieniemy was fired as OC of the UCLA Bruins after just one go-around. Sure the offense was lousy but hell, it’s college-tons of guys get more than one season to implement their concepts.
-Lesson Learned, Just Like The Others: The Steelers and Panthers realized that Diontae Johnson is a piece of work. The Ravens just figured it out last week as he refused to enter a game when called upon. If I’m a GM I’d never touch a guy that was thrown out of Tomlin’s clubhouse.
To The Game!
Packers/Lions:
-The thought occurred to me while watching the Thanksgiving game that Detroit’s stadium has become a very tough place to play and I’m not talking about the quality of the team.
-Gibbs is ridiculously efficient-he’s got 973 yards so far on 163 carries which means he’s running at a 6 yards per rush clip. Imagine if he had the backfield to himself like Saquon does. The caveat is that Montgomery eats up the tough yards but I’d counter that Gibbs’ ability to rip off a 40 yarder is always there.
-The secondary winner of this tilt? The Vikes at 11-2 distance themselves from the Pack or pull even with the Lions. They’re not that weird team from 2022 that beat everyone by the skin of their teeth. Darnold has stumbled and recovered, they have great talent at the other skill positions and that Flores D is not to be underestimated. Minny has the Faltering Falcons this weekend.
-Green Bay has a balanced offense but they should try to ride Jacobs tonight-the Lions d-line has been crippled by injuries.
-Both squadoos are playing their third game in 12 days so expect more owies.
Have at it.
The same day the UHC CEO was killed, Anthem Blue Cross announced a policy that they would no longer pay for anesthesia during surgery if the surgery went too long.
They reversed the decision yesterday, at least as to CT.
Look, I’d hate to think that shooting health insurance care CEOs to death is effective healthcare policy, but the results are the results.

This could be considered crimes against humanity. Investigated at the very least. Mike Polk, Jr., of “Factory of Sadness” fame was also correct in another regard to the Hashtag Pauls: it’s easier to be occasionally lucky than it is to be this consistently bad for this long.
Also, Stillers GM Omar Khan traded Dionte Johnson to Carolina for S Donte Jackson. The trade was considered a win for both franchises at the time.
Jackson has five interceptions for Pittsburgh through a dozen games; Johnson is on his third team in a dozen weeks.
Tomlin Voodoo and Khan Artistry pair well together.
This is what happens on a work night where it’s too cold and windy even for fent-heads to be out.
It’s eerie that there are 60 year old celebrities who still look incredible like Marisa Tomei and that Hurley lass when we grew up with celebrities who looked half dead in their 40s. Even Lindsay Lohan finally cleaned up after 15 years.
Quite welcome too, since my interests now trend more towards the MILFs.

So that’s where those “Twister games” take place.
I would like a perfect square or diamond shaped room.
It could be my rhombus room.
Watching Michael Clayton for the first time in a while for no particular reason.
I watched it like three or four times when it came out on DVD; I think my ex-wife bought it maybe it came in the mail via Netflix (remember that?). I think I enjoyed it, but it’s definitely a product of its time.
The last quarter is a letdown, but the first 90 minutes are great.
Funny how common that is.
“The last quarter is a letdown, but the first 90 minutes are great.”
Unsurprised talking about ‘Michael Clayton, or Mrs. Horatio talking about our wedding night?
They hit the over
Napoli lost, GB lost… Where is a fella to find consolidation?
I haven’t seen anything of her in a minute.
Consolation you fuckin auto correct
However now that I think about it consolidation with her is also a nifty idea.
I didn’t expect them to win, but I didn’t expect it to be that close either.
The score is positively Bengalese
That was quite a game!
It was. I was entertained. 👍
Dan Campbell. The man has BALLS.
This mindset will cost them the NFC Championship.
Against the same team

Brave throw there. Kudos.
I bet the refs talk lots of shit about Matt LaFleur after the game. Whiny baby.
