Here are the maps for this Sunday: Week 16, Broadcast Maps

Primetime games are as follows:

TNF: Chargers @ Raiders

Saturday Night Football: [*Redacted] s @ Eagles

SNF: Giants @ Vikings

MNF: Bengals @ Broncos

As was mentioned in the last couple of posts, unless St. Louis, San Diego, and Oakland are taking a couple of years sabbatical from the NFL, it is unlikely this will be the last game in the Black Hole.  Skins-Eagles essentially determines the NFC East crown as I think the Giants are done without OBJ.  Skins have been poor on the road, so Eagles may still have a shot to win the division.  Minnesota has a chance at the division, but is more likely playing for seeding in the playoffs.  Cincy-Denver is an interesting matchup considering both teams have had great seasons but are now facing adversity, Cincy with the loss of Dalton and Denver because recently their offense forget what offense is supposed to do.  Relatively decent primetime matchups.

Sunday is back to a disproportionate 9:3 Early/Late Afternoon ratio.

CBS early features Patriots-Jets in the Northeast, most of the West and upper Midwest plus some miscellaneous patches.  Steelers-Ravens has most of the Mid-Atlantic, Browns-KC most of Ohio and the breadbasket.  Jets, Steelers, and Chiefs are neck-and-neck for the last two wildcard slots (which could be even further complicated if Denver can’t get out of its late season snide).  Honestly, I would not have believed you at the start of the season if both wildcard teams from the AFC had at least 10 wins.  Texans-Titans are limited to their core markets.  The AFC South Crown is Houston’s to lose at this point.

Lone CBS late game is Jags-Saints in a larger portion of the country than I would have expected.  These two teams which are probably going in opposite directions in the long run, it looks like the Saints good run is petering out, while the Jags have a promising future with a solid collection of young talent.

Fox early has Panthers-Falcons in most of the country.  Panthers are trying to go 15-0 (or 15-1 per one of the most god-damned stupid internet memes I’ve seen).  Cowboys-Bills are limited to their core markets plus Boise for some reason.  These were two teams which were supposed to have promise this year, but now are just winding up a disappointing season.  9ers-Lions is also limited to their core markets.  Both these teams had offseasons which threatened their chances  for a successful season, and as is often the case, a bad offseason caused a bad season.  Colts-Dolphins is also just in their core markets.  I think Kentucky has a larger broadcast of the Fins than their home state of Florida.  I think that is par for course for the post Marino Dolphins.  Bears-Bucs are also fairly limited.  Bucs had a better season than I would have expected, Bears probably had a worse season than I would have expected.   Some these matchups are like a god damned bad eulogy.

Fox Late has Packers-Cards.  This is a big game for determining the 2 seed in the NFC, and appropriately is broadcast in most of the country.  Rams-Seahawks is limited to their core markets.  Seattle is battling for the 5 seed which the high likelihood to advance to the divisional round of the playoffs.

Enjoy or Console yourselves.  At this point in the season, I do not think there is anything else in the middle.
