Your Late Slate of NFL Games Open Thread

Just the three on tap for this afternoon and 66% of them are watchable according to these eyes. (don’t mind me-I’m still reveling in the Giants upset of the Packers. I haven’t seen adept play calling and excellent coaching in so long, I wasn’t sure if I could recognize it)

Niners/Panthers:

The league’s worst offense versus the league’s best defense. Sign me up! And by ‘sign me up’ I mean, ‘turn the channel’. We still have channels, right? The pathetic numbers being put up in Carolina is the end result of pairing the malcontent that is Mayfield with the play stylings of the incompetent Ben McAdoo.

Eagles/Cards:

On paper this looked like a barn burner but 1) Kliff’s Koniptions are killing the Kards and 2) the Eagles are firing on all cylinders right now. Thing is, Arizonny has all the pieces sitting there and could go off at any time. Is Jalen Hurts the frontrunner for MVP right now? No? He should be.

Cowboys/Rams:

Can LA ever get going? Their two losses (to the Bills and Niners) were by a combined 36 points. Season-long you’d take Fatt Matt as your qb but short term Cooper Rush is looking mighty competent-the guy knows what his strengths are and continues to play within them. Also, I’d pick Rush because he doesn’t have to play against the Cowboys D.
