Good day.  I’m Matt Ryan.  I’m the starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League.  You may have heard of me – I’m well known around the league as a pretty good quarterback.

In college I led Boston College to a 25-7 record as a starter, which was considered quite good.  Since I was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons with the third pick in the 2008 NFL draft, I’ve led them to a record of 75-56, which is also pretty good.  Obviously the Falcons selected me with the expectation that I could be a great quarterback, and it feels good to be able to say that I’ve only fallen short of those expectations by a relatively small amount.

“That’s a good throw” is something that’s often said during broadcasts of my performances.  “You’re a good husband,” is something my wife often says to me.  I’m told that I’m a good neighbor, and a good teammate.  The good folks at DoorFliesOpen.com have invited me to host their Request Line this week, so I thought we could collect some songs about things that are good.  Good food, good folks, good fun, it’s all fair game.  That is not to say “fair” as in “mediocre”, we’ll leave that to Matt Stafford.  Ha! Ha! Ha!  That’s a joke, Matt’s actually a good fellow and a good friend of mine.
