I know everyone is all hyped to see how their favourite team’s front office fucks up the team’s future tonight, so I’ll be brief. As it is, there are only two games to report on:
ANZAC Day Eve Game – Melbourne Demons v Richmond Tigers
The Tigers easily handled the Demons after an even and uneventful (some would say lethargic) first quarter. The Tigers do not show a Premiership hangover at all while Melbourne is regressing nicely to their usual position mid-pack. Here are the highlights:
ANZAC Day Game – Collingwood Magpies v Essendon Bombers
These Pies are fun to watch. The Bombers are looking like the Pies looked last season: full of promise and good play in stretches, but too inconsistent and losing games they shouldn’t. Essendon did not look good in this game after looking brilliant last week. WTF? Highlights:
Let’s take a look at the ladder, shall we?

The Round is now complete and we can now see the full ladder. There are A LOT of teams with 12 points… Let’s also take a look at the patented Balls Graph (TM):
There is still a crazy amount of movement although we do seem to have a pattern of four groups: The Cream, The Contenders, The Pretenders, and The Dregs. It will be interesting to see how much further movement we will see in the weeks ahead…

DON’T FORGET TO PUT THE FOOTY TIPS IN!!!

AFL Round 6
Here is the schedule for this week (all times Pacific):
Friday, April 27, 2018
2:50 AM (Late Thursday Night) – Western Bulldogs v Carlton Blues at Etihad Stadium
It’s a good thing this game is on in the middle of the night. I’ll wake up early on Friday to watch the fourth quarter and try to not be surprised when I see that neither team has scored 50 points yet.
8:45 PM – Geelong Cats v Sydney Swans at GMHBA Stadium Kardinia Park
This is the first time I will be able to watch my Cats live for the full match. I hope Sydney doesn’t fuck up my evening…
9:10 PM – North Melbourne Kangaroos v Port Adelaide Power at Etihad Stadium
The battle of teams with three words in their names. I know I’ve been anticipating this one…
11:35 PM – GWS Giants v Brisbane Lions
The Blues Lions have to win eventually, right? RIGHT?!? Not tonight. Not with GWS coming off a disappointing tie.
Saturday, April 28, 2018
2:25 AM (Late Friday Night) – Hawthorn Hawks v St. Kilda Saints at University of Tasmania Stadium
The Saints somehow tied the Giants while the Hawks stumbled and lost. Can magic happen two weeks in a row? Not in Tasmania…
2:40 AM (Late Friday Night) – Adelaide Crows v Gold Coast Suns at Adelaide Oval
Poor Gold Coast begins their downward spiral with this match.
8:10 PM – Essendon Bombers v Melbourne Demons at Etihad Stadium
By luck, happenstance, or logic, the two ANZAC Day losers meet up the next week. I’ve no idea who wins this.
10:20 PM – Collingwood Magpies v Richmond Tigers at the MCG
This is now probably the Match of the Round. The Magpies are on a roll and playing really well. This game will show us if they are for real.
11:40 PM – Fremantle Dockers v West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium
The first Perth Derby in the new stadium! Wooo!! This will be a fun game to watch as both teams will want to start claiming bragging rights.

I leave you with the pre-game ANZAC Day festivities.
Pretty cool.

I can’t stress this enough because there is a game late tonight:
DON’T FORGET TO PUT THE FOOTY TIPS IN!!
Guess I’m not good at just the tip.
STUPID ESSENDON WHY DO I ROOT FOR YOU???
Funny you don’t say that about the Raiders…
