My mood has been quite foul all week. I think it’s my work schedule. Being back on afternoon & evenings means I don’t really appreciate the weekend anymore. By the time I get home I just want the day to end; finishing earlier in the day made for more activity time later, and that made the days flow better.

I had a relative who worked as an RN in an emergency room in the 60s when it was illegal. A lot of women died soon after they arrived because of back alley abortions; they knew the danger, they just could not have a child. When it is illegal only the well off have access to safe procedures. The religious right does not want to stop at abortion; they are making it difficult for contraception and women’s healthcare too.
