Yes, that means I’m just throwing this up here.
One of the wonderful things about tWBS is that he would notice when we had a gap in posts and quickly fill it (Zombie Phrasing!) with a short post to get the conversation going.
We have apparently been caught with our pants down. Not that that’s a bad thing.
Today we have Manchester United back in action in the Europa League taking on LASK Linz (btw, your mileage may vary on LASIK surgery. Mine went away after a few years like an American car. True story!).
They have a handy 5-0 lead from the first leg, so this will probably be your opportunity to see the young guys play. The game airs on TUDN and Unimás.
The more intriguing match is Inter Milan v Getafe. Since the COVID shut everything down before the first leg could be played, this game will be a 1-game series to decide who moves forward. It will be played in Germany on Schalke’s home stadium to make things even-ish.
That game will be on CBS, Galavision, and TUDN.
Is that 200 words?
/ checks with the Captain
And because I can’t say the word “Europa” without thinking of this song:
LET’S GO!
Tampa/Boston is intense.
It’s so intense the announcers are talking about halibut and Thai shrimp.
To be fair, halibut is delicious.
Re LASIK – my ex-wife works in biotech. Worked on several eye meds.
Said that every conference with eye doctors? They all wear glasses.
The funny thing is that my brother had it done and he’s been perfect. It’s weird.
I know people who have had it and they rave about it.
For me, I see ok without my glasses, and don’t really mind wearing them. So I see no reason to run even a small risk of complications.
Same thing with wisdom teeth removal. My dentist keeps prodding me about it, but they don’t bother me, so I fail to see why I should have surgery, to say nothing about the cost.
Man U’s young boys are beating the LASIK surgery.
In other news, Getafe missed a PK and promptly got scored on.
El que perdona pierde.
Boston winning the president’s cup dropping to 4th seed through a round robin gimmick is very funny to me, personally
The only downside to that is it eliminates the possibility of Boston beating Toronto in the first round again, which would be even funnier.

Jeez, it’s like Europeans have never even HEARD of Wichita.
I believe Schalke is German for Wichita…
We got NBA action today as well. My daughter, youngest right, will be coordinating the A.I. fans at the Lakers vs. OKC game this afternoon. It’s really cool shit and she gets to work from home!
Also check out the USPS online store/gift shop
got some cool T-Shirts, a backpack, beach towel, and little model toys.
Gotta support the USPS cause there is the chance that it my not exist in 5 years.

There’s some really cool stuff there!
I used to be a postal clerk. It was a fucking nightmare job. I worked for 4 months straight before I got a day off, 7 days a week. I started at 6 am every weekday, and worked to 6 pm, with a 2 hour lunchbreak. On Saturdays it was 6 am to 1pm, no break, and on Sundays I delivered Express mail. Eventually I only worked every 3rd Sunday. It was a fairly small office, one full time weekday window clerk, and 2 other clerks besides me, plus 8 mail carriers who delivered mail. We had a box section of around 2500 PO boxes, and because it was a military town, the changes of address were constant. I worked the window on Saturdays, and for the regular weekday clerks 2 hour lunch, plus I opened my window up whenever she got busy, which was all the time. I sorted mail and put circulars in the boxes when I wasn’t on the window. The first couple of years weren’t bad, until a really nice guy who was essentially the asst.postmaster, left for another office. The woman who took over for him was a fucking psychopath, and it was a constant shitshow of bullying and sabotage. I finally quit 4 years later and went back to college. We were unionized employees, but in a small office that doesn’t mean jack shit. I have had a lot of jobs over the years, but never any as terrible as that.
That sounds horrifying.
It really was totally demoralizing. My son was a teenager, and it was the start of his mental health problems that ended up with him dead by suicide 10 years later. I was in no shape to deal with the psycho bitch, and she took a great deal of pleasure in my pain. After I quit and we moved away, Gumby was working near there, and he stopped by the post office one day and punctured all of her tires. That’s why I love him!
Gumby is THE MAN!
He really is.
Now I’m ashamed that I am (was) a stamp collector for most of my life.
It’s not your fault that woman was a bitch.
I still enjoy checking out new stamps. I worked with some very nice people there, but one person in a position of power can do a lot of damage. The postmaster was a glad- handing politician who had his eyes on bigger and better things, so he let her run wild.
And if you haven’t read this yet, please rectify that immediately.
A story about New Hampshire?
i don’t see any giggle pig

Found a funny:
TRUMP: Wario is Mario’s son.
JONATHAN SWAN: How can you say that?
TRUMP [rustling papers]: Listen to me–
as it’s apparently National Underwear day ( as per Doc Zymm), this is on brand for today.
When it comes to lasik, I have an anti-vaxxer’s militant ignorance.
Would you say you turn a blind eye towards it?
AWAY. Away.
There’s also hockey. Arizona is beating Nashville 1-0 in the first.
And earlier this morning, the Panthers managed to avoid being eliminated by beating the Islanders.
I need an MXC “DON’T GET ELIMINATED” gif…
