It is a three day weekend for a lot of us in North America. Yesterday was St. Valentine’s Day, which means that today you’re either exhausted from all the effort you went through yesterday to make it special or you’re scrambling to make up for the fact that you didn’t make it special enough.
That applies, of course, to those that celebrate. Many are blessed to be with partners that didn’t give two shits about Valentine’s Day. I count myself amongst the lucky few. So, aside from my wonderful luck, what is there to talk about?
Current Events
This week, Southern California got MORE much needed rain. This time it was a lot heavier than last time but it didn’t result in too much flooding.
My lawn is now a nice shade of green, which really is the most important thing here.
In other news, I played in my first tournament of the year this morning. I’m writing this on Friday night, so I don’t know yet how I did.
I’m playing golf again on Sunday with some folks from my other club. Next weekend will be another double-header with one tournament on Saturday and one on Sunday.

Sports Update
Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid played their first La Liga games after last week’s Derby. Barcelona plays on Monday. The league race is super tight with only two points separating the top three at the beginning of this round.

Steelers Update
The Steelers will play a game in Ireland next year and will be deemed the host team. The opponent had not been named but it will most likely not be an AFC North team.
That leaves the following teams as the likely candidates: Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks. My money is on the Green Bay Packers.

In this space, I will tell you what I’m drinking as I type this post. Today’s drink is: Mountain Dew Baja Blast Zero. They are finally selling it in stores as opposed to just Taco Bell. I found it at Smart n Final but it may be available elsewhere.
