No Warhammer tonight – I have yet to find the time to get my home computer running again.  I do plan to have everything back together.  Actually even if I do get it back up, I may just share of of the most horrible acts of vandalism perpetuated on a desk by rabbit kind.  Going to do the Dad thing and see how many I can salvage.

I turned 58 at the beginning of the month and was actually in San Diego so my wife could attend a work function.  And, as I stood outside the hotel lobby awaiting a delivery from the dispensary,  that I decided on what to have as a rest of my life goal – and that was to be stoner, more like Spicoli than Brad Pitt in True Romance.  I can enjoy the fruits of my life of toil while completely stoned.  Enough of facing reality – time to be high as a kite and read a book.

I have no idea as to what is on tv, so watch Shogun I hear it’s great!

Looks like is Moss and Chase Brown in the backfield. Still need to figure out the line, but this can work. Bengals offense is built around passing, this just commits it.

Joe Mixon is a good player. You all joke about his college idiocy, and he’s earned it, but he was a stand-up guy in Cincy and a hard player. I wish him well.

I think it’s also an over reaction to their current housing crises.

The golden visa and the NHR tax breaks they enacted solved the financial crises there but it also trashed the affordable housing in the bigger tourist area.

The golden visa holders are buying up property and driving cost up while the formerly affordable housing is getting converted into Airbnb joints.

It’s a poor country wage wise and the younger population can’t afford rent.

This is a sure sign of demanding drastic change without thinking long term.

The NY Times had a story a month or so ago about the Portuguese getting pissed at foreigners buying up property and pricing the natives right out of housing. They mostly seemed upset at people who were buying up homes and then renting them out as vacation properties and to be fair, those people should be drawn and quartered.

I read an article and the average 33 year old still lives at home in Portugal.

It’s fantastic as a tourist because everything is so inexpensive but the workers, many of them work in tourist related jobs, don’t get paid shit.

They’re mostly just coming into line with the rest of Europe, the continent as a whole has been drifting right since the influx of refugees 10+ years ago. Happened in the 70s and 80s too, although not so much in Portugal since they only got rid of their fascist regime in the mid-70s

I think it’s a mistake to call anything that’s not left or center “Trumpism”.

There is a very real dissatisfaction worldwide with the existing power structure. The liberals that have been in charge in many Western democracies have fucked up housing (here included) and people are pissed. No one in the established parties comes up with any new ideas or solutions, so people are willing to look elsewhere to send a message.

Yes! (although fucking up housing has a long and noble history that the entire political spectrum has contributed to, the current incarnation has been a downward slide since the post-WW2 building boom)
Also gives Trump wayyy too much credit. There have been far-right parties throughout history, Trump didn’t invent Nationalism, or Populism, or Calling People Names, or even Bad Hair.
