There was one big surprise as the minor premier (the team that finished first in the regular season) got knocked the fuck out of the competition in, as they call it in Australia, straight sets.

Adelaide was absolutely dominated by the Hawks. They tried to make a game of it, but the Hawks’ pressure didn’t allow them to get anything going. It was a pretty bad second loss in a row that will have a lot of questions being asked in Adelaide.

The long-awaited first Finals Q Clash between the Gold Coast Suns and the Brisbane Lions was not as competitive as expected. It seemed the Suns ran out of luck last week. Brisbane won convincingly and now look pretty good to win back to back Premierships!

Collingwood will host Brisbane on Australian Saturday night while Geelong will host Hawthorn on Australian Friday night with both games taking place at the MCG. Winners go to the Grand Final, also at the MCG.

The Tipping Pool is down to this: As long as Sharky gets one more pick correct, he will win. Let’s see what happens.

If you are a member of an AFL club or you got a Watch AFL membership, you should be able to watch every AFL and AFLW game, including replays. Game times vary between Australian afternoon and evening, which actually makes it easier for us in North America to watch as the games can be seeing in the evenings on Pacific Time and early mornings on Eastern time.

If you haven’t become a member of a club or signed up for the Watch AFL app, you can still watch the AFL and AFLW games in the USA on either FS1 or FS2 and in Canada on TSN. Showtimes can be found here on the Australian Football Association of North America website. But I do recommend that you join a club. It’s fun and they send you free shit.
