Here I am, halfway through The Big Short again, and all I want to do is either get more drunk, retch, both, or maybe throw the dog through the window.

I don’t know if it was Nitzsche, Marx, Engles, Adam Smith, Dr. Hanham (my MA chair), a combination of my drunken/pilled up imagination, none, or even myself. Greed always wins out. All of the seven deadly sins, six of them still have to kick upstairs to greed. Also, unless Vito or Michael Corleone said the latter, I did first. I’m trademarking it now, so pay up.

Doing something I can’t remember I’ve done in at least a decade: rewatching the same movie back-to-back, The Big Short. I was in grad school, studying economic development when the economy went to piss. Witnessing it as a student, while every prof I had had been warning us, for years, this shit was on the way, and then seeing it all unfold changed my life. Seeing that people in the banking industry not only knew about, but, banked on it just reaffirms humanity is too sick to live.
