Ahhhh, the first weekend of Summer.  Long days.  Plenty of time for summer activities.

So I’ve decided that peppered in here and there, among other timely themes over the next several weeks/months, will be themes pertaining to summer activities.

This week?  Hot Chicks on Bicycles.

Why?  BECAUSE I SAID SO!!!!!

And also…..because I’ve recently resumed biking after a several year layoff (more or less) due to….let’s call it facial trauma from going over the handlebars at an inopportune time.  Then again, is there ever an opportune time to go over the handlebars and bash your face into the pavement?

I think not.  Fortunately I was already pretty ugly, so no real harm done other than some teeth gone bye bye.

Anyway, in future weeks we might do swimming, tennis, beaches, surfing (we’ll definitely do surfing) or any number of other things.  And please, do feel free to suggest a summer activity if it can be featured sexily, though tastefully.  Well, tastefully for this joint, anyway.  We grade on a curve.

Sure he owns the course.  Sure he can drive his little cart wherever he likes.  That’s not the point.

Oh, btw….the US Women’s Open is being played there next month.  Really great they’ll have a course which has been so well cared for.

The NBA Draft happened last night, apparently.  Not surprisingly, I neither cared nor watched.  But I’m confident that a lot of future addicts and/or convicts were there for the party.

Honestly, if it hadn’t been for my morbid curiosity about whether Dennis Smith, Jr ended up in Gotham or the Big D, I wouldn’t even have checked the draft results this morning.

Same shit, different week.  Except that suddenly it isn’t, at least for the time being.  The NL West is the new AL East.  By virtue of winning 9 of their last 10 (including 7 straight), the Dodgers are now atop the heap out there, but Arizona and Colorado are both only 1.5 games back, with all three teams hovering in the vicinity of 20+ games over .500.  That’s impressive.

In truth, I think I’m on the verge of cutting this tWBS’ Photo feature out of TGISF.  No shit.  Seems a bit too self-indulgent and I’ve grown to loathe it.  But nonetheless, this week you get two (don’t get excited, they both suck).

Both were taken on the streets of Mesa, Arizona a few years ago.  So what’s the lesson here?  Don’t leave your bike unattended in Mesa, Arizona.  Wooooo foar Mesa, AZ Popo!!!!  Did I ever tell ya’s that Mesa, AZ Popo briefly investigated me for attempted murder about seven years ago?  True story, bro.
