Your Saturday Morning Strawberries Open Thread

Good morning!  If you woke up early today to catch the women’s final at Wimbledon I hope you didn’t spend too much time blinking your sleepy eyes, cause you’d have missed it.  Garbine “A Straight G” Muruguza rolled over Venus “She’s Got It” Williams in just one hour and fourteen minutes.  A competitive first set (where Muruguza fought off two set points) was followed by a laugher of a second, with a 7-5, 6-0 final result.

My plans for today include mowing the lawn and unpacking an Instapot, which is a pressure cooker that Dr. Mrs. Deadly, Esquire bought that can apparently do many things.  I’m not sure what’s going in it first – probably some variation on pork loin.  Which will be a vast improvement of the slab of salt (flavored with a sprinkle of pork loin) I had last night at Alimento.  It’s a restaurant here in LA that we’ve enjoyed quite a bit in the past, so I’ll be giving it a second chance, but it was pretty disappointing.  We were seated next to Michaela Conlin, who plays Angela Montenegro on TV’s “Bones”, which we used to watch until around 2010, when they added a baby to the cast, and…

…No!  No, nothing like that.  Anyhow, my wife and I agreed that she’s prettier in person.
