OK. For the past few weeks I’ve featured a profile of a player. “Better Know The Girl” I’ve called it. And we’ll do that again next week. But this week it’s…
Better Look Out For All The Girls Before They Kill You
Tempers boiled over (under?) this week. The ladies were apparently in bad moods this week. I will not make the obvious joke.
(ahem)

Hey, but at least they played the games and didn’t cancel out.
OK, let’s get to it before we all die.

Welcome To Ball of Steel’s tWBS’ AFL Beat – 2020
Round Six
Friday, March 13
– Geelong Cats v North Melbourne Kangaroos –
Well, it was fun while it lasted. The kitties showed some signs of life the past coupla weeks. Two game win streak. And outside shot at climbing the ladder into the post season. This week they got kicked in the face by the ‘Roos. Which is not terribly surprising really. But this wasn’t even close. North Melbourne destroys Geelong, 66-20 and continue their path forward.
Saturday, March 14
– Brisbane Lions v Collingwood Magpies –
The Lions have hit on bad times. The Pies are on the rise. I’m starting to think they might have the chops to overtake Melbourne. They face St. Kilda next week (giggles) while Melbourne faces Freemantle (giggles moar). But for now the Pies are positioned. They take Brisbane down convincingly, 43-14.
– St. Kilda Saints v Richmond Tigers –
Moar (giggles). Someone had to win this one, but this is basically a match between the two worst clubs to ever exist. Well, other than Western. We’ll get to them. But The Saints take the Tigers fairly easily in this one. Again, this is not surprising considering Richmond is winless and the results of their matches haven’t even been as close as the scores would indicate. St. Kilda gets what is likely their final victory of the season, 42-3.
THREE? THAT’S ALL WE GOT? THREE FUCKING POINTS?
(shhh, you can say fucking on the radio)
((don’t worry, no one’s listening anyway))
– Melbourne Demons v Carlton Blues –
Carlton stays on a roll. This was a good one, and the Blues overcame some…issues. They take the Demons down late. 40-24.
Sunday, March 15
– Western Bulldogs v Freemantle Dockers –
Western should have just stayed home. Freemantle keeps steamrolling everyone. Although I do have to admit this one was closer than I expected it would be. But it was never in doubt for the Dockers. 66-51, they get the win and move to 6-0.
– Adelaide Crows v GWS Giants –
Oh dear lord I didn’t even want to watch the highlights of this one. I had to drink two shots of freezer vodka first and still expected it would be painful. Turns out it was the best match of the week. Hard fought, both literally and figuratively, and close ’til the end. But the Giants come out on top, 26-21 and stay on track for a chance to take down North Melbourne. Not much of a chance IMHO, but a chance.
– West Coast Eagles v Gold Coast Suns –
Now this one, I needed four shots of freezer vodka. OK, that’s lie. It was more like six. And it still sucked. How West Coast has even won one game is beyond me. They’re Turrible. Gold coast keeps their faint hopes alive and they do face a fading (faded?) Adelaide team next week. They take this one easily, 33-8.

Keep Climbing That Ladder
Freemantle and North Melbourne still appear to be on a collision course. I’d give Carlton and GWS an outside shot as sliding in. Collingwood has a chance. Brisbane has apparently collapsed.
The rest can go ahead and give up.

Fuck it; sexy CoronaMonday.
These women arguing with the officials is MUCH more satisfying than Karens arguing with some manager. I’m including sexually satisfying in this statement.
