To The Games!
TEAM/Raiders:
This is the old “two teams headed in opposite directions” thingy. Though they upset the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, they had lost three straight previously, including thrashings by the Chiefs and Bengals. Heinicke has very slowly turned himself into a competent game manager and maybe a bit more at times. He’s posted a 5-1 TD/INT mark over the team’s recent three game win streak.
Jags/Rams:
It’s time for the Rams and their qb to get right after going winless in November and the Jags are here to help. To be fair, Stafford is trying to work his way through back, shoulder and elbow ouchies. The Jags have no choice but to commit even more to the run game given that Agnew and Arnold have joined the other receiving talent on IR.
Ravens/Steelers:
Ben just might throw the ball far afield today as the Ravens have given up more plays of 40 and 50+ yards than any team in the league. More importantly for fans that have held their nose and cheered for the Steelers lo these many years, this could very well be Ben’s last go-round.
Niners/Seahawks:
Didn’t these guys just play? Or maybe it’s just me, blurring all the NFC West’s games together.Do you start Wilson, hoping he gets it turned around or do you sit him and wait for the outburst, knowing you’ll be denied those points? I know if I had him I’d make the wrong choice. On t’udder side of the ball Jimmy G has flung his way to an 8 ypa number that is impressive even though it’s on a small number of throws, given how much Shanny Jr. loves to run.
Let’s do it again.
