Your “Only 205 Days Left Until The New Season Starts” Tuesday Night Open Thread

Was it truly less than 48 hours ago that the 2021 NFL season came to an end?

A lot has happened since then.  Valentine’s Day, for one thing.  I hope you treated your special someone right.

The ladies figure skating short program also happened.  The cheating Russians also benefited from some extremely generous overscoring, so they’re currently holding the 1, 2, and 4 positions heading into the free skate (aka the “not-drug-free” skate for Russian cheaters I mean skaters).  Cheating enthusiasts throughout the world are optimistic that Russia’s cheating program, long believed to be the world’s leader in the field of cheating science and related disciplines, will emerge from this Olympics fully vindicated as producing the most corrupt cheaters in the world.  “This is the first time anybody thought to use the athletes’ minor status as a shield from both criticism and consequences,” pundits opined, “but I guess that’s why Russia cranks out the best cheaters year after year.”

I had the idea of creating a dirty version of Wordle but the domain “dirtywordle.com” has already been registered.  I might code it up anyways, just for fun.  Leave your suggestions in the…wait, no, don’t do that.  We already have enough problems getting put on domain blacklists.

Another thing that happened is that I got a bunch of fence boards for free off Craigslist.  I can’t say that this guarantees me a nomination for the Mike Brown Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Frugality, but I’m starting to feel optimistic that my efforts will receive formal recognition at some point.

We also started keeping a little journal of wines that we like.  The first entry was Trefethan’s cabernet sauvignon.

Let’s see…how about some music?  I haven’t been able to get this one here out of my head.  Could certainly be worse.
