Your Sunday Night Football Open Thread

I feel bad for the yinzers out there because of Franco’s sudden passing and the timing of it. I can’t really think of a beloved figure in the Giants community (should have been LT but he’s made some horrible choices) that I’ll mourn with the same intensity.

To The Game!

Raiders/Steelers:

-Given the injuries that have happened to Vegas it is a long way down talent-wise after Davante. Mack Hollins? Foster Moreau? Not a lot to work with there.

-Vegas has turned things around recently but that horrible 2-7 start that happened while McDaniels was finding his footing pretty much doomed any chances of a postseason appearance.

-Wonder how GM Ziegler and McDaniels feel about the decision to not sign Jacobs to a 5th year option? Must be kinda embarrassing to have that blow up in their faces.

-I’m guessing all that hoopla around the Immaculate Reception should give Pitt a significant homefield advantage-initially, anyway.

-He’s obviously still a work in progress but Kenny Pickett has looked acceptable recently. In the five games before the bye he threw 8 pickerceptions. Since then he’s thrown none but has only two TD’s.

-Blast From the Past: The Steelers have committed hard to the run game recently, only once failing to reach the 100 yard mark in the last five weeks.
