Welcome, welcome. Here begins the final week of yet another season. There were highs and there were lows and also some wonderful in-betweens. Let’s go over all of them-kidding!
To The Game!
Chiefs/Raiders:
-Kelce needs but one TD to become the first tight end to reach 10,000 yards and 70 scores within his first ten years in the league.
-A High-Scoring Affair?: Both teams are tied for 30th with respect to the opposing team’s QBR stat. (55.0) As well, both are in the bottom ten in the category of the other team’s completion percentage and TD/INT ratio,
-The Raiders are close to sewing up the 7th overall pick in this year’s draft. After compensatory picks are handed out it is estimated they will have a bushel of them (10-12) which would come in handy if they decided to move up to get one of those studly qb’s on offer.
-With a win the Chiefs will get the beloved #1 seed.
-They lead the league in points scored and have only been held below 20 once. It was against the mighty Indy Colts. Speaking of, the offense has bogged down recently and Townsend the punter has been put to work 15 times in the last three games. He punted 15 times total in the six games preceding the last three.
-More Firepower?: Mecole Hardman returns to the lineup after being on Injured Reserve. Prior to ending up there he had four TD’s in just two games. He will likely be eased into the lineup today though.
-In games where Vegas has a halftime lead they were outscored 113-32. They are the first team to blow five double digit leads in a single season. It would seem that a certain head coach is shy about making adjustments or maybe the adjustments he’s making are dead wrong.
Enjoy the tilt.
