It is Monday,  but not raining unfortunately.  No Warhammer tonight as I totally forgot and also had a bunch of meetings and since I am working on becoming a stoned slacker for the rest of my life I had nothing ready.  Meh, you get what you pay for.

I have a question about the song ” McCathur Park” – why the hell has it been covered more than one?  Richard Harris, Waylon Jennings, Frank Sinatra, and so, so many more and none of them are good.  So why?  Ugh, the reason this hit me was listening to Waylon Jennings and hearing his version, and it sucked as well.

 

Well there is dirt football and ice football tonight I am pretty sure.

0%. The women have no chance against Iowa or South Carolina. Iowa has the best player on the planet and SC is an absolute wagon. UConn’s on fumes and basically playing 6. They’ve had an amazing year getting to the Final Four.

Anything can happen, of course, but I can’t see Alabama beating the men. Assuming Purdue does its job the title game should be a war, and a ratings bonanza.

Which pretty much guarantees both UConn and Purdue trip over their dicks and no one watches Alabama play NC State for the title.

I find it kind of weird how many songs there were about nuclear weapons in the late 90s, but I was younger than the artists then, and considering the Cold War had only ended a few years before it would have been more salient for them. I have friends who grew up in the end years of the Soviet Union (and despite being very progressive are vehemently anti-communism) but we didn’t really get the nuke fear
