Here we go again.
To The Game!
Packers/Eagles:
-Love has been removed from the injury report. (an elbow ouchie, “It still hurts when I throw”) Speaking of Hurts, (status: concussed) word has it that a ‘specialist’ was flown in from the Dolphins medical staff and voila, he’s ready and raring to go!
-So the bad news for the Packers starts here-when Hurts, Brown and Devonta Smith start and finish a game together the Eagles are undefeated this year. (9-0)
-They’ve Kept It Close: The Packers last three losses (to Chicago, Minny and Detroit) have been by 2, 2 and 3 points.
-When you think about the Packers they don’t strike me as a dominant defensing unit (and now without Jaire Alexander, yikes) but vs the run they were behind only the Broncos and Ravens in the yards per carry metric. (4.0) Dealing with a rested, next-level Barkley is a whole ‘nother task though. That beast had 46(!) runs of 10+ yards this year. His O/U is 20.5 carries, btw.
-Look at Mr. Under The Radar Over Here: What with all the attention given to above and King Henry, Josh Jacobs has had the quietest 1,329 yard, 15 touchdown season ever. Philly needs to contain him just as badly as Green Bay has to keep Saquon under control. The Eagles are 10th vs the run, the Packers are 5th.
-Thanks to a top-heavy NFC and the 17 game season, the 25 combined wins is the most ever for a wildcard matchup.
Get after it.
On to next week! That was fugly as hell.
Yeah, y’all REALLY need MRSA Men to win the nightcap. Then for some kind of meteor to hit during MIN/DET
You know, that would be a great FF last place punishment. Make them attend the Prob Owl “games” and write a full report.
FUCK YOU!
Lookit Saquon with that clock management!
If Barkley had torn up his knee sliding there I don’t know that could have ever stopped laughing.
I mean, I know that should, I just don’t know that I could.
