Current Events

Today, the Trump administration slapped tariffs on goods from Mexico, Canada, and China. Somewhere, I read that the Northeast of the US gets something like 60% of its power from Canada. A possible counter to the tariffs would be to stop the flow of power south.

Ukraine did it to Russia with their gas pipeline.

What say you, Canadiennes? Does Trudeau have the minerals to do it?

Mexican president Claudia Longlastname has taken a “wait and see” approach. I think she’s waiting to see how pissed off the cartels get and then let them “fix” the situation.

Sports Update

Real Madrid shockingly lost to Espanyol today 0-1. Yeah Right’s decision to visit Barcelona surely contributed to the home team’s (yes, Espanyol is Barcelona’s other team) success.

Life Update

Nothing new. All is calm and things are going along relatively well. Southern California will get an atmospheric river next week which will bring some much needed rain and probably some not-needed floods. I’ll be prepping the house tomorrow to make we don’t get any issues.
