FIFA is the most corrupt organization in the world and manufacturing the fifa peas prize for 47 was a new low. Plus, the ridiculous ticket prizes for the games starting next month are pitchfork-worthy. FIFA is unredeemable and of course Imma watch the hell out of the Mundial. In 2025, I did a dry run with the Saudi Club World Cup. Last year, I downloaded a free app and did not give a cent to the app or the tourneys’ sponsors. Eyes in the games, heart with the players, boycott in the wallet. To clarify: consume local products, enjoy the free ride. It’s about the games, the free live games.

Everybody hates moochers. But for very rich folks, moochers are an existential enemy. Remember that.

-Next Thursday, the National Fitbaw Lee will release the 2026 schedule. The over-under for combined prime time games by the Cowboys, Bears, Steelers, and Giants is 83. Don’t misunderstand. I’m not bitter about it. Ask me next Thursday tho. I’m secretly hoping that DAL, CHI, PIT & Jints have decent enough records to flame out hilariously on the odd S/M Night Fitbaw.

-The NY Jets sign RB Breece Hall to a “three” year contract. Not being glib. I’m plussed, quite.

FINALLY,

Allow me to clarify on a topical issue: the world is not ending. Destroying lives and habitats has been the province of men forever. The Mongols, the Romans, what happened in the Belgian Congo, the Cowboys and [Redacteds] compensation shenanigans during that NFL uncapped year way back—it all has a common origin.

It all goes back to prehistory, when the first man woke up and said to the mother of his baby twins “What about my needs?” while she was breastfeeding them. Thousands of years later, money became the solution to many needs and some folks realized you only needed to be greedy with money to accomplish all plundering goals. Which is why there will be an 18-game NFL season, watchable in 27 different platforms for pay, because why fail to squeeze every single nickel out of something that so many people enjoy for free.

To clarify, I think private property rocks and a bourgeois lifestyle has awesome perks—e.g., good bubbly wine, German cars, nice clothes other than concert t-shirts with dates on them… It’s the greed that disgusts me. Jacking up parking and public transportation prices for an event (whether it’s FIFA, the NFL or Imagine Dragons), is gouging monopoly shit of the worst kind.

Market economics is all about what people are willing to pay for something. Ok, I’m willing to pay to watch games. My price for FIFA is $0; for the NFL, ask me on September.
