Is it week 6 already? This is the last fixture in London and it’ll be a few weeks before Germany kicks in so yes, you can go to church next Sunday, finally!
Wee Tidbits:
-The Pats need some pop in their O so they’ve signed qb/wr dual threat Malik Cunningham from their practice squad. He did a bit of stuff in preseason against the Texans backups but when you’ve messed up as badly as Bill has, this looks like progress.
-Injuries? We’ve got a few: Out this week are Deshaun, Sauce Gardner, (maybe) Saquon, Danny Dimes, Roschon Johnson, Khalil Herbert, Miles Sanders, Zay Jones, the list goes on…
-Coach most likely to be fired mid-season? My money is on Riverboat Ron-too many conservative decisions, new ownership waiting to put a stamp on the team, Bienemy lurking in the background, these all add up to…Staley, it’s probably Staley.
To The Game!
Ravens/Titans:
-Baltimore has only played in London once before, getting merrily spanked by the Jags 44-7.
-Those Ravens are right there with Houston-only converting 35.3% of their red zone opportunities into TD’s.
-Points at a Premium: It’s not their style of play but still, the Titans haven’t scored more than 30 points in 23 straight games. The longest streak in the league right now.
-Someone to Target: Kristian Fulton has been torched for 267 yards so far so go ahead with your Zay’s, Odell’s and Rashod’s.
-With Trey Burks safely ensconced back in the good ole USA, one of Chig Okonkwo or Kyle Philips will have to make some plays in the intermediate part of the field-Nuk will take care of the outside. An inconsistent Tannehill stands in their way.
-The Titans had been very stingy on run D but the Colts went for 193 last week. You’d think Vrabel would make that a point of emphasis during the week.
Have a tea on me.
