NFL News:

• The NHL reopening strategy has both MLB & the NFL contemplating how they will go forward.
  • Baseball has pretty much planned out nothing to this point, but the “hub city” idea was their initial strategy for Florida & Arizona.
    • Their latest strategy is to start on July 4, and that players would be paid on a sliding scale relative to their full salary.
      • Because it would be an 82-game schedule, they are looking at a minimum 50% cut, with a proposal that that scale jumps to 75% for the top-tier players.
        • Some compensation would be achieved by expanding the playoff format, enabling more players to qualify for postseason bonus clauses & game pay.
      • They need MLBPA agreement by June 6 in order to make the July 4 deadline.
  • The NFL has the advantage of time, but will still look to see how the NHL incorporates fans into the whole playoff experience.
    • Robert Kraft told FOX News that the Patriots are planning for all, some and no fan scenarios.

• Ahead of the Rules Committee meeting on Thursday, final rule proposals have been tweaked or eliminated.
  • The “sky judge” proposal has been eliminated.
  • The onside kick alternative has been adjusted, so now the attempt can just be exercised in regulation, not overtime, and that the down is untimed.
    • To prevent burning time off the clock, Belichick- or Mahomes-style.
    • Also, if a penalty occured on the score, the kicking team can have the yardage applied to the onside attempt, just like a kickoff
      • Meaning that the penalty-adjusted try would take place from the 40-yard line.
    • A team can change its mind about the attempt, but will have to use a timeout to effect the strategy.

The story goes she got spooked during a storm & ran away. Despite months trying to find her she remained at large.

Seriously – AEW just takes things as they are & run with it. No fans but access to an empty football stadium? Ok. But add in a horse.
