We are a bit hampered here in BC because the “circuit breaker” closures for the third-wave mean that all indoor dining is still off-limits until Tuesday. Movie theatres are still closed. All of the “no money fun” locations like parks & mountains are off-limits because they either were packed with idiots yesterday, being chased & bit by bears, or wandered away from their hiking partner and fell into a ravine & died. Fortunately, today we are having to make do with the benefits nature has to offer.
Of fucking course.
It wouldn’t be a holiday weekend without a little rain. So we are stuck inside doing chores. WHAT FUN! Instead of focusing on the usual spots, WineWife has decided to do a deep clean and go places she hasn’t looked in a few years. Great! Now all my hiding spots have been discovered, so the things I don’t want to throw away now have to be relocated to new spots I anticipate won’t be discovered until the next time we have to go through this ordeal.

I’m just killing an hour until I take off for my last Rec league soccer game of the year.
I went with the wife yesterday to some park thing where people had a bounce house for the kids and picked up in n out (a new one just opened by us so I guess that is a thing to try new fast food branches?) and drink. I mostly sat on the periphery and drank. Weather was nice though. All I really want at this point is to watch my wife bs with her new mom friends while the kid runs around safely and if I can get a buzz there and it isn’t further than down the street, that’s a 5-start event.

No shit! I saw that NASCAR Circuit of the Americas race in Austin. Even though they were actually racing in the rain on rain tires, they stopped and ended the race early because it was fucking pouring!

They’ve been calling for scattered showers for 2 days here. Nothing yet. So got the lawn cut today.
