BC Dick & I had a respectful disagreement about the size of a case of beer in BC. I said 12; he said 24.
It turns out, we can both be right. The BCLDB – the government body overseeing beer, wine & liquor production & distribution in BC – in it’s “Product Registration” Application package lists beer as only available in 6- or 12-bottle cases, but cans can come in a 24-can case if they are from a “commercial” manufacturer – a brewery & affiliate which makes over 350,000 hectolitres/year. (FYI – one hectolitre = 100 litres; at 355 ml/can, that’s 98.6 million cans/year.)

In California you can buy beer, wine, liquor, and pot at every grocery store and it’s all dirt cheap.
Here in the Ontario we have 2 standards. If at teh LCBO, aka the liquor store you cannot get a 24. However if at the Beer store ( no fancy acronym) one can get a 24 or more in bottle or cans. Stupid alcohol rules
