“So my friend from Montclair, Jack Bowers, the man who told me about nutmeg lasgna introduced me to a new beer the other day. He said that he read my blub about Blue Moon and had a beer that he thought I would really like. It’s called Weihenstephan. Apparently the brewery was founded a long time ago, I think I think that it was in 1825, but I could be wrong. It could have been in 1925. Boy 1925 was such a long time ago. I can’t believe anything organization from then still exists. This was only after the Red Sox sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees to support an early version of ‘Cats’. Wasn’t that a great show. Who have thunk those animals had so many emotions. Wow, can you believe it the Cubs lost again in heart breaking fashion. They don’t know how brutal it is to be a Red sox fan, but they have suffered. Anyway, as I was saying he had me try this beer. I don’t know what all the fuss is about. I thought it was bitter and heavy. It is the sort of thing I would want to drink after a long day out walking the streets of New York or Boston in the middle of the winter. Did you know that it only takes three hours to walk from one neighborhood in York(that’s how the locals tell they refer to it as) to another. Only in New York City. But as I was saying, I thought the beer was too heavy and they didn’t even give me a slice of orange with it. I must say that I was terribly dissapointed with the bartender. He wasn’t a mean man, but when I asked for an orange slice, he looked at me for about twenty seconds before he understood what I meant. I think he might have been one of those people. You know the ones that need special help. I’m glad the bar was providing employment for the mental crips, but should they really be having him serve customers. That isn’t something Starbucks would do.”
