I loved how Tampa Bay made it to the Stanley Cup Final and the home arena was either not sold out or loaded with Chicago Blackhawks fans (most of which probably lived there).
It’s because they had a policy that only Florida residents could buy tickets during the playoffs.
They had that baller ECF series with the Flyers in 2004, and while it was an extremely watchable series of hockey, the interviews with Tampa fans/people who were wondering what was going on in the arena was cringe-inducing, and you knew they had ZERO appreciation for what was taking place. What made it worse is how easily Tampa curb-stomped the Flames, so the Flyers probably would have done just as well against them if they could have just scored one more goddamn goal against Khabibulin. Fucking HATE sports.
